A multilingual website for your trade business
If you work near a border, in an expat area or for companies with international staff, you miss jobs you never see: people searching in another language who never come across you. A second language is then not a nicety but a second source of visibility.
What you get
Real pages, not a translate button
01Each language gets its own addresses with its own copy. A button that translates the page on the spot brings in no extra visitors, because there is nothing new for Google to find.
Correctly cross-referenced
02Every page tells Google which languages exist and which belongs to which country. Without those references Google treats your languages as copies of each other, and then both slip.
Rewritten, not run through
03Copy is rewritten in the second language, not converted word for word. A literally translated trade term is instantly recognisable as foreign to a native reader.
Forms and confirmations too
04Someone who enquires in another language gets their confirmation in that language. Otherwise the impression falls apart at the moment it counts.
How it works
Choose the languages
We look at who searches in your area and in which language. Two languages done well beats four done halfway.
Writing
We write the second language, you review if you speak it. If not, we arrange a check by someone who does.
Technical setup
Own addresses per language, mutual references, a language switch in the menu and a sitemap entry per language.
Measure per language
The dashboard shows visits and enquiries per language, so you know whether the second language is doing its job.
From the field
A warning from our own experience: forthscaling.com itself ran four languages, two of which were word for word identical to another. Google treated them as copies and filed forty three pages under "Duplicate". We cut back to two real languages. More languages is not better; more languages with their own content is.
